Cinescape
reported on Director Kaos’s new film, "Ballistic: Eks Vs.
Sever", he's also been signed to direct an action/adventure
movie called Jack Hood:
"The
film is being likened in spirit and tone to "Raiders of the Lost
Ark", and spins the adventure of a young man who goes on a dangerous
quest to a lost city when a treasure map falls into his lap."
Just
thought I post it. They'll never stop folks, they'll never stop...

Dad to life! Connery's best known for his work as James Bond, and
was a perfect fit for the role of Professor Henry Jones Sr. in Last

Indy IV Production
Schedule
August 13th, 2002

TheForce.net
posted an Episode III schedule, where they also spoke of Indy IV:
Fall
2002 - Preproduction will
head into full swing, with the art department cranking out new ideas
and the script being worked on religiously by George Lucas. In an
interesting twist, he's working on Indiana Jones 4 at the same time
so we definitely expect Jonathan Hales to again help with the writing
duties.
Sorry folks, it's been
slow around here, we'll take what we can get. :-P
Emperor's Tomb Score
Recorded!
August 13th, 2002

Music4Games.com
reported that the music for Emperor's Tomb have been recorded near
Seattle with a 65 piece orchestra, where they recorded 30 minutes
of music. Here's some of the article:
"Indiana
Jones is back and will be sounding better than ever thanks to a new
original score recently recorded live with the Northwest Sinfonia
(Medal of Honor, Myst III: Exile, Total Annihilation) in Seattle.
Said LucasArts' Sound Department Manager Jeff Kliment, “It was a fantastic
experience all the way around. Everyone involved did a tremendous
job, and the recording sounds terrific.”
"Clint Bajakian from The Sound Department (Outlaws, Indiana Jones
and the Infernal Machine, Escape from Monkey Island), who composed
the score, explained why they went with a live orchestra:
"LucasArts recognized that it was time to bring the magic that
only a live orchestra can produce, into something as important as
an Indiana Jones game. We recognized that the Indiana Jones film scores
were great, not only due to the brilliant writing of John Williams,
but on the dazzling quality of 80 world-class musicians playing their
hearts out in an orchestral ensemble."
He added, "The aesthetic goal of the score was to echo the original
film scores in style, but also to introduce original ideas and world
music elements in line with the various exotic locations Indy visits
throughout the game. Hence you’ll hear Turkish strains in Istanbul,
Indian elements in Ceylon, and Chinese modes in Hong Kong, all within
the context of a classic film score. The score explores new musical
concepts while not straying too far from the musical style defined
by John Williams in the films."
Glad
to know there's progress with the new game, we'll keep you updated!
Emperor's
Tomb for GameCube!?

According to IGN.com
sources told them that Emperor's Tomb might be released for GameCube.
Here's the article:
"Sources
close to LucasArts have told IGNcube that a version of the forthcoming
Indiana Jones based action-adventure Indiana Jones and the Emperor's
Tomb is in development for Nintendo's next-generation console. The
title is being created by software house The Collective. No release
date has been given for the port.
The Emperor's
Tomb follows Indy's exploits as he travels to 1935 China to retrieve
a powerful artifact. The game, like Indiana Jones and the Infernal
Machine for PC and N64, takes place in third-person view with an emphasis
on 3D puzzle solving and exploration.
LucasArts
has not officially confirmed development of a GCN version of the game,
though PS2 and Xbox versions have already been announced."
Great news for GameCube
fans! For now this is just a rumor, but we should have more information
next week. Stay tuned for more updates!

Well, seeing as how it's
been slow lately, I decided to start work on the new Indy
Literature section, which contains books such as Guides, Source
Books, RPG Books, stuff like that. It's not finished yet, but I'm
sure Dennis will be able to help
with that.
Spielberg Says He'll
Do Indy IV Digital
August 1st, 2002
| Posted by Aaron
The
Edmonton Journal reported that Spielberg likes doing movies with
film, and would prefer to do Indy IV in good ol' fashioned 35mm, but
he said if Lucas wanted to, he would film it digitally as a favor
to Lucas.
"I
don't want to shoot digital movies," Spielberg says. "I
like film."
"I
love shooting on film and I love editing on film. I know that digital
will do the same thing film will do. It will still use lenses. It
will still capture the same images. The difference is that digital
is like acrylic paint. It's so photo-realistic that you don't see
any flaws. With traditional film, where you have it going through
shutters in a film gate, it's alive with grain -- compared to digital,
it's like an impressionist painting. I would still rather see a still
life painted by an impressionist than a still life painted by Norman
Rockwell."
But as
a favor to George Lucas on Indiana Jones 4, he might use it.
"I'd
do anything for George and if George asked me to shoot Indiana Jones
4 on digital, I'd do it. But my druthers will always be to shoot on
film."
Well,
I'd prefer Indy IV in film, but it's all up to Lucas and Spielberg.
Thanks
to Nick for the tip!
