All Great Adventures Must Come to an End
October 20th, 2006| Posted by Aaron

Dear TIE.c Readers and Loyal Indiana Jones Fans,

I want to start off by apologizing for not updating the site for so long, but the time has come for an explanation.  I have some good news and some bad news for you on this day.  First, the bad news.  Friends, due to college, personal life, and my pursuit of a career in filmmaking, I will no longer be able to serve as webmaster of The Indy Experience.com.  Trying to maintain grades, a family life, a social life, make movies AND run a website all at the same time is just too much for a mere mortal as myself to bear.  I’m afraid the time has come to for me to move on.

As you can imagine, this is by no means an easy choice.  I have poured my heart and soul into this website for five years, and it has taught me a great deal.  Giving up The Indy Experience like this is very difficult.  Let me assure you that this was no spur-of-the-moment decision.  I have given great thought to this.  I’ve always known the day would come when I would have to move on, and I believe that time is now.  But as I have to move on, that does not mean that I intend to leave you guys, the Indiana Jones fans, hanging off the edge of a cliff!  And I certainly don’t want to see all of the hard work that has been put into The Indy Experience.com simply disappear.  With that said, here is the good news.  As of today, I am officially offering The Indy Experience.com up to whoever would be interested in taking over the site as owner and webmaster.  You heard right.  I am looking for a new home for The Indy Experience.com.

However, I must warn you, this is not an easy job.  Updating content, creating new features, responding to help desk inquiries, updating the captions, updating the poll and most importantly, posting news – it can be overwhelming at times, but it is extremely rewarding especially to someone who loves the Indiana Jones films as much as I do.  But if you have been looking into starting your own Indiana Jones fansite, this would be the perfect way to start off since most of the work has already been done.  So, if the idea intrigues you at all, please feel free to send an email to: aaron@theindyexperience.com.  I will consider all offers, and will post updates on the main page as time goes by to keep everyone informed as to whom The Indy Experience will be going to.

But I'm not the only one moving on. Many of the TIE.c staff members have begun pursuing various careers. Eric Fisk has ventured into world of Internet magazines with The Fedora Chronicles, which covers all things related to the Golden Era of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. And yours truly has recently opened New York Threads, a website consisting of various t-shirt designs that I've been working on for several years (and it certainly helps pay for college as well).

In closing, I would like to thank the entire TIE.c staff, Eric Fisk, Chris Strompolos, Eric Zala, my friends, my family and especially you, the TIE.c reader, for all of your incredible support through this great adventure.  It has indeed been an amazing journey.  I have learned so much and met so many wonderful people along the way.  I will never forget it.

I hope you understand my decision to move on, but remember, life goes on.  Hopefully our paths will cross again some time in the future.

My Most Sincere Regards,

Aaron Gantt,
The Indy Experience.com
