But within the past six months, we have seen a resurgence in Indy 4 speculation, rumors, and most importantly; promises from the creators themselves that Indy 4 is in the works. As of now, Spielberg, Lucas and Ford are all on board with the project. Steven Spielberg himself has assured the world that Indiana Jones 4 will indeed happen. It's simply a matter of time. Current Indiana Jones 4 Release Date: Sometime in 2007
For the past 14 years, rumors surrounding the possibility of a fourth Indiana Jones film have come and gone. Since the release of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade up until this very day, we have heard countless rumors and speculation on the fourth film. Sadly, the project never took off... until now. In recent years, and especially in recent months, talk from Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford has given way to some very exciting developments in the world of Indiana Jones. It seems that the question is no longer WILL Indiana Jones 4 happen? But WHEN will Indiana Jones 4 happen? As of now, the earliest possible release date for Indy 4 is some time in 2007 based on Spielberg's comments that he plans to begin production in the Summer of 2006. Both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford have expressed their excitement about Indy 4, and have assured the fans that a fourth Indiana Jones film WILL happen. In May of 2005, we learned that both Spielberg and Lucas had approved Jeff Nathanson's Indy 4 screenplay. Now we await Harrison Ford to give the script his seal of approval. It looks as though Indy 4 is going to happen, it's simply a matter of time.
