Last Crusade Bloopers
- When Indy is on the ship "Coronado" at the beginning of the film, watch as the stream of blood at the corner of Indy's mouth switches from side to side.
- When Indy climbs the spiral stair case in the library in Venice to get a better look at the "X" on the floor, look behind him as he exclaims, "X marks the spot"; you can clearly see that the books on the shelf behind him are fake.
- In the Catacombs in Venice, as Indy is rounding a corner, you can see bits of the burning cloth fall into the highly flammable petroleum. In real life, this would have ended Dr. Jones' quest early on, but thanks to good ol' movie magic, Indy lives to see another day.
- When the Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword light the petroleum in the Catacombs, Indiana Jones flips over the coffin while Elsa is holding the torch. Once the coffin is floating in the petrol both Indy and Elsa dive under in to the coffin. In the next scene you can see the torch in the background burning inside the coffin. This would have spelled doom for Indy and Elsa.
- When Indy and Elsa are coming to the end of the boat scene, one of the boats hits the propellers of the large ship and is chewed up to about mid-boat, in the next scene the hatch is not broken and miraculously back in place.
- Indy and Henry find themselves at the Nazi book burning in 1938, when it actually took place in 1933.
- When Indy comes face-to-face with Adolph Hitler, just after recovering his father's Grail Diary, Hitler (being the people person he was) signed Henry's diary. But take a closer look, wasn't Hitler left-handed? He sure was, and Michael Sheard, the man who played Hitler in Last Crusade, signed the Grail Diary using his right hand. I think it's safe to say this wasn't the real Fuhrer.
- Indy and Henry escape from Germany in a Zeppelin, but Zeppelin travel was stopped after the Hindenburg crash in 1937.
- This blooper takes place during the tank fight near the end of the film. When Vogel throws a chain over Indy's neck to choke him, the chain doesn't make it all the way down, and you can see Ford pull it down around his neck.
- During the tank fight sequence, Indy is pushed on the treads by the explosion. He then rolls onto the side of the tank and falls onto one of the side barrels. In doing this, the strap of his satchel gets caught on the barrel of the gun and Indy is left hanging. Early in the chase, Indy stuffs a rock in the barrel of the gun causing it to be blown open when fired, this makes for a large opstical. It is clear that Indy could not have gotten his strap on the barrel that easily, nor could he have gotten it off so quickily either.
- When the tank first hits the bottom of the cliff, you can see that the turret falls off and the side of the tank splits open on impact. But in the next scene, you can see that the turret is back in place and the tank is in better shape overall.
- When Indy emerges from the cliff, his whip should have still been with Henry, but you can cleary see that the whip is now back in its holder.
- When Indy brings the Grail to Henry, he pours all of the water out of the cup onto Henry to heal his gunshot wound. But in the next few scenes, you can see that the Grail is about half full.
